The Computer Engineering Students Congress (BİLMÖK), organized annually by the Computer Engineering Department and/or related student club of a different university each year, aims to enhance interaction and communication among computer engineering students, contribute to their professional and personal development, determine the country's trends in the field of information technology, and support its development.
BİLMÖK-20 is organized by computer engineering students, and besides official representatives from each university's respective department, students, academics, industry representatives, alumni, and anyone interested in information technologies are invited as 'participants'.
In this context, the Computer Engineering Students Congress was hosted by Istanbul Gelişim University on March 9-10, 2024, at the Istanbul Gelişim University J Block Campus, Mehmet Akif Ersoy Conference Hall, for the 20th time. The main theme of the congress was announced as 'Future Information Technologies'. In addition to speakers from leading companies in the sector, opportunities for students to network with firms in terms of career development were provided.
This year, Rafet Karaca, a student from the Department of Computer Engineering at Isparta University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Technology, attended BİLMÖK-20 on behalf of our university. Karaca represented our university at the event and meetings, stating that BİLMÖK-20 was productive, with industry-student meetings and numerous presentations, introductions, and meetings shared by students, academics, and industry representatives from many universities. Additionally, he mentioned that the decision to hold BİLMÖK-21 at Antalya Akdeniz University in 2025 could lead to increased participation from our department next year.
